Grove’s Landing

Groves Landing HOA

At Groves Landing, the goal was to create a more complete and inviting outdoor recreation experience by combining active play, comfortable gathering spaces, shade, and site amenities into one cohesive environment. Adventure Playground Systems helped transform the space with playground equipment, swings, safety surfacing, shade, seating, and a dedicated picnic shelter designed to make the park more enjoyable for both children and adults.

At the center of the space is a large playground designed for children ages 2–12. With multiple slides, climbing elements, activity panels, elevated play components, and an ADA-accessible entrance, the structure provides a variety of ways for children to move, explore, and interact. A coordinating two-bay swing set expands the play experience with both belt swings and toddler bucket seats, creating opportunities for different ages and stages of development. The playground is finished with engineered wood fiber safety surfacing, a geotextile liner, and defined borders to create a durable and well-maintained play environment. A large 28′ x 35′ hip-roof shade structure extends over the existing playground, providing approximately 980 square feet of coverage and helping make outdoor play more comfortable during warm Texas days.

Beyond the playground itself, the project was designed to give families a place to stay, gather, and enjoy the space together. A 15′ x 15′ metal shelter creates a dedicated shaded gathering area, while round picnic tables provide convenient seating for parents and caregivers. Existing site furnishings, including a bench and trash receptacle, were also repositioned to work with the updated layout and create a more functional recreation area.
