Fort Bend Christian Academy

Adventure Playground Systems partnered with Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land, Texas, to transform and enhance several outdoor recreation areas across the campus. The project included the removal and relocation of existing equipment, installation of new playground structures, a new GaGa Ball pit, basketball court improvements, and updates to existing site amenities.

The centerpiece of the project is the Falcon Adventure, a large commercial playground designed for children ages 5–12.With a capacity of approximately 45–50 children, the Falcon Adventure provides students with an engaging space for active play, climbing, exploring, and social interaction.

As part of the playground installation, the existing engineered wood fiber safety surfacing and playground borders were carefully relocated and reused where possible. Existing spring riders and benches were also repositioned to complement the redesigned play area.

Shade Canopy Improvements

To preserve valuable shade throughout the campus play areas, two existing fabric shade canopies were removed, professionally power washed, and reinstalled following the playground improvements.

The existing 28′ × 38′ and 27′ × 34′ canopies continue to provide students with comfortable shaded areas for outdoor play.

A new 20-foot Premium GaGa Ball Pit was installed to add another high-energy recreational activity to the campus. The pit features 28-inch-high walls and a standard ADA-accessible gate. A new 23′ × 23′ reinforced concrete pad was also constructed to create a durable, long-lasting foundation for the activity area.

For younger students, the project included the installation of the R-Town Church House, designed specifically for children ages 2–5.This play feature creates a dedicated space where younger children can enjoy imaginative and age-appropriate outdoor play.

Basketball & Court Improvements

The existing basketball area was also refreshed with two new heavy-duty basketball goals featuring aluminum alloy backboards and nylon nets.

New court striping added even more opportunities for recreation, including:

• Basketball court lines
• Four Square
• Multicolor Hopscotch
• Triple Toss play equipment

Together, these additions turn the court into a versatile activity space that supports multiple types of play and recreation.
