For the City of Karnes City, the goal was to enhance its outdoor recreational amenities with spaces designed for connection and long-term community use. Adventure Playground Systems helped bring that vision to life with the addition of two new pickleball courts and the resurfacing of the existing basketball courts, giving residents more ways to get outside, stay active, and enjoy their community.
At the center of the project are two newly constructed pickleball courts, complete with reinforced concrete slabs, professional multi-layer acrylic surfacing, crisp court markings, and a bold two-color design. Black vinyl chain-link fencing surrounds the courts, creating a defined and dedicated playing area while maintaining visibility throughout the park. Four in-ground benches were also incorporated around the courts, providing comfortable seating for players and spectators.
Beyond the new pickleball courts, the project included resurfacing the existing basketball courts, refreshing another important recreational space within the park. Together, these improvements create a more cohesive recreation area that can serve different ages, interests, and levels of play. The result is more than a collection of courts. It’s a community recreation destination designed to encourage active lifestyles, friendly competition, and camaraderie. Whether residents are meeting for a pickleball match, shooting hoops, or simply spending time outdoors together, these spaces give the community more opportunities to connect.
